This book provides support and information to parents who are expecting or have a new baby with XXY as they adjust to understanding a new diagnosis. The information in this book is taken from our professional experiences working with families and conducting research in the eXtraordinarY Kids Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado since 2007. While this book does not address all aspects of XXY, we hope that it serves as a starting place to help families both prepare for and care for their new baby.Families with a new diagnosis of XXY––also known as Klinefelter syndrome––may experience a rollercoaster of emotions from worry and uncertainty to hope and excitement. This book serves as an educational resource to introduce families to XXY and foster an understanding of what a diagnosis of XXY may mean for their child and their family.
